Description
This 1963 Ferrari 250 P is the first example of the type built, developed by Mauro Forghieri with input from John Surtees and unveiled at Monza, then retained by Scuderia Ferrari through the 1963 World Sportscar Championship season, where it finished second at Sebring and third overall at Le Mans. It subsequently raced with N.A.R.T. and Scuderia Bear before passing through a distinguished chain of early Ferrari collectors; the current owner has held it since 1988. Offered with its Tipo 128 LM 63 engine and Tipo 564/D transaxle, it is sold on a Bill of Sale and carries reserve.
