Description

This 1958 Porsche 550A Spyder is among the final examples of the 40-unit production run, delivered new through Porsche Salzburg to Austrian composer and privateer Ernst Vogel, who used it to secure the 1958 Austrian 1.5-Liter Sports Car Championship and establish multiple speed records. The aluminum body is a period-correct recreation by the Kimmins Brothers, and the four-cam engine and transaxle received a documented rebuild by specialist Bill Doyle around 2000. Recently repainted in original metallic silver with period-correct race livery, the car is offered by the Terrien family following the 2025 passing of 40-year custodian Steve Terrien.
