Gooding Christie's · Lot 130 · Saturday, August 15, 2026
Description
This 1952 Ferrari 225 Sport Tuboscocca Spider is one of six Vignale-bodied Spiders built on the advanced Gilco Tuboscocca chassis, retaining its matching-numbers engine and original coachwork. It was entered by Scuderia Ferrari in the 1952 1000 Miglia, then raced by Tommy Cole at the Targa Florio and Goodwood Nine Hours, where it finished second overall, before a final period appearance in the 1953 1000 Miglia with Jacques Swaters and Charles de Tornaco. Documented by historian Marcel Massini with factory build sheets and period photographs, the car has been in single ownership for approximately 45 years and is offered with reserve.
