Description

This 1996 McLaren F1 GTR, chassis 10R, is the first of nine GTRs built to 1996 specification and one of only two Short-Tail prototypes, making it among the rarest F1 variants. Distinguished by its factory-applied scarlet and yellow pop art livery — unique among all F1 GTRs — it was retained by McLaren before Nick Mason of Pink Floyd acquired it in 1999 and owned it for 25 years. The factory subsequently converted it for road use, and it is offered at reserve.
