1964 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe

Description

This 1964 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe is one of only six built, created specifically to contest Ferrari's 250 GTO for international GT supremacy. It debuted at the 1964 Tour de France Automobile with Bob Bondurant and Jochen Neerpasch, participated in Shelby American's 1965 FIA GT Championship season, and uniquely continued racing in Japan through 1968 beyond the factory program. Carroll Shelby owned this specific example from 1975 to 1998, making it the only Daytona Coupe ever owned by its creator.
